On 30th of November 2010 the elegant space of VOX gallery in Burgas, opened doors for the "Born to be loved" exhibition of Alexandrina Karadjova. An opening speech was given by Loris Manuelyan Phd. - Deputy Mayor of Burgas. The even gave start to fundraising campaign for women and children victims of domestic violence. The message of the campaign is that domestic violence is not a personal problem and we can all help dealing with it.
"Infront of us is the wonderful art of Alexandrina, incredibly enchanting but with contemporary resonance. Her paintings emit fragility, femininity, ethereality, but then again they are done in great strength." said Mr. Manuilyan to the guests and continued - "That is why I believe the message of the Bulgarian Women's Fund will reach to more people and it a solid step forward in our efforts to deal with the domestic violence."
Half of the exhibition profit, from almost 30 pieces of art, will be donated to the Bulgarian Women's Fund to support the campaign, which is part of the international campaign "16 day activism against the domestic violence towards women" (25 November - 10 December).
The Bulgarian Women's Fund is an independent NGO working for social causes according to the Bulgarian Law. The fund is founded in September 2004.
