Original Acrista Art paintings are available to see or/and buy at the Acrista Studio in Geo Milev area, in Sofia, Bulgaria. The exact address will be sent to you after we agree on a specific day and hour for the visit. For that purpose you can contact me using the contact form here. The studio welcomes visitors only with prearranged meeting appointment, as it has no specific working hours like shops and galleries. That gives me the opportunity to work and create in peace and pay personal attention to every visitor. On the other hand, the beauty of it is that, you can request a meeting in the evenings up to 8:00 PM or even on Saturdays.
You can see and reserve work in progress paintings by visiting my work studio on Shipchenski Prohod blvd. in Sofia, Bulgaria.
You can book a visitation during working days, between 12:00 AM and 6:00 PM.
Purchasing original paintings on instalments is a option only for Bulgarian customers.
Paintings I create especially for an event or a specific space (home or office) I call commissions.
1. What does the process look like
It starts with a discussing which exactly of my paintings have you liked. An important note here is that commissioned artworks are not, and cannot be, copies of already existing (and sold) paintings. For that case I am offering prints (reproductions). Commissioned works can be based on an existing painting, but I insist they have their own radiance, vision and colours, which makes each project unique, and gives me the opportunity to approach it with curiosity and creativity.
2. Visitation or photo reference from the specific space, sizing, etc.
The best option is for me to visit the place for which the painting is envisioned. To explore it in details, the colours, the interior design style, the lighting conditions and to take the necessary measurements. When this is not possible clients usually send me photo references of the space, and the we discuss the best options based on what I see.
3. Series and dominant colours
My paintings are usually in series, for example: summer series, Mediterranean, figurative, female faces, flamenco, ballet, etc. When discussing the subject of the artwork the client usually shares in which series they would like the painting to be in, and then decide on the dominant colours in the painting. At this point I prepare an offer for the cost of the commission, including the final framing. If we agree on the price I will create a small study painting (concept artwork) for reference.
4. Study painting and payment
After you approve the concept, based on the small study painting, you pay an advance of 50% of the agreed price. After the original painting is finished and if you like it, I send it for final framing and you pay the remaining 50%.
5. Terms
At the moment I only accept commissions in oil paints with an execution term no less than 30 working days from the day of the advance payment, and only if I am not working on another commission for that period. If I already have a queue of commissions I will give you an estimate of when will I be able to start working on your project.
6. Communication and cancelation
The discussion of the parameters of the commission, including the presentation of the concept (study painting), its approval, as well as all details of the offer, is in writing via e-mail and is contractual. In case of cancelation of a commissioned painting after the approval of the concept (the study painting), I have the right to keep the advance payment as reimbursement for the invested time, effort and materials.
7. Examples
A selection of finished commissions can be seen in the "Commissioned Artwork" page of the Services section of the website. More details about some of these projects can be seen and read about in the article "Commissioned Artworks - an artistic challenge" on my blog.
Reproductions, also known as Fine Art Prints and Limited Edition Prints, are exactly that - high quality prints on 100% cotton canvas. In French the term used is Giclee, shich is the process of spraying colour inks on canvas of paper.
Prints are part of the artist’s portfolio for several reasons:
1. They are a necessary addition to the artist’s income, so that they can continue doing what they love.
2. Prints give people with lower financial potential the opportunity to own and/or give as gift a piece of art they like.
3. They are a chance for the artist to realize art projects for public spaces, for example offices, hotels and hospitals, which has low production cost.
Acrista prints can be ordered from specific paintings and in different sizes.
For prices and shipping please contact me. Shipping expences vary depending on the specific country.
In the Portfolio menu there is a section called "Artworks you can order prints from" which lists all the paintings, which have been sold, but you can order as a custom sized print (reproduction). The available minimum and maximum sizes are listed in the details for every painting, when you click on the "Order a limited print" tab. That tab allows you to choose custom sizes within the bounding ratio of the original painting.
All reproductions have a limited copies counter of 20 or 30 pieces. The reason for this limit is my aim to keep value of the print and also to prevent the market from "flooding" with reproductions from the same painting. When the limit is reached I will no longer offer prints from that specific painting.
For ordering larger sizes (for example wallpapers) or ordering framed or cropped versions (printing a partial detail) from a painting, please contact me to discuss the specifics and receiving a custom offer.
Yes, you can reserve a painting for a period of no more than 20 calendar days. In order to do that you need to pay an advance of 20% of the painting's price.
If after those 20 days you have not payed the rest of the price for the painting, it will be released and marked as available again, and I will keep the deposited 20% as reimburcement for potential lost profit.
Yes, of course. The courier company I work with will deliver your painting and/or print, either to your home or office address. For Bulgaria all shipments include SMS notification and the option to preview your package before signing for it on delivery.
For the territory of Bulgaria all Acrista originals costing 500 BGN or more are shipped for free (no delivery charge), whereas originals below 500 BGN and prints are delivered to the expense of the buyer. Courier services outside Bulgaria which are not covered by the courier service I use have to be discussed and agreed upon separately on a case by case basis.
The Acrista Art Gift Vouchers are very suitable if you have decided to bring artistic joy to a loved one or a colleague, but you want to let them choose the exact painting, print or other art product from Acrista on their own.
You chose the value of the gift vouchers yourself. If the recipient of the voucher choses to use their voucher to buy a painting of higher price, they will have the option to pay the difference. If the voucher is used on a purchase of lower price than the value of the voucher, the difference is not reimbursed.
The vouchers are term-less and can be used for any Acrista Art product or service available on the website.
The vouchers are either physical (printed on paper) which can be sent via courier service, or electronic (digital in .pdf) which I send over e-mail to the given recipient at a date specified by you.
In both cases the recipient can use the voucher by filling in the respective field of the shopping bag on the website at checkout.
With an Acrista Art voucher you are not only giving your friends, colleagues and loved ones the opportunity to chose an emotion close their heart, but also the experience that visiting the creative atmosphere of my work studio provides.
If you wish to use one of my paintings as a cover photo for a book, label or other commercial project - you need to contact me, so we can discuss details and price offer.
If you wish to use my painting for a personal cover photo, for your Facebook profile for example, or to share it on your wall - of course I don't mind, as long as you cite my name as an author, my website or my page in the respective social media platform. This is the respectful and correct way to share painters', photographers', illustrators' or other artists' work on the Internet, by giving them the credit they deserve.
All other cases of violating the copyright laws, including copying an artwork 1:1 with commercial goals (selling the copy), using my paintings for commercially offered tapestries, decoupage, quilling, website illustration, etc. without my explicit written consent, are absolutely intolerable, and they will be dealt with by my lawyer.
Of course. If you choose an original painting or a print (reproduction) as a gift for a colleague, friend of loved one, if you want me to, I will package it in an elegant gift wrap, free of charge, and even add a hand drawn gift card with a message. If you have ordered it delivered via courier, it will also have a transport package on top of it as well.
The best way to receive news about my newest paintings, exhibitions and events, art products like calendars and catalogs, or other Acrista news, is to subscribe to my newsletter using your personal e-mail. The newsletter is elegant and very much not a pestilence, I only send it once a few months - and I'm sure you will eagerly expect it.
You can also follow me on social media: on my Facebook page or my Instagram profile.

No, I do not offer painting classes, courses or workshops. Time is a very scarce resource and the daily grind way too dynamic. So, for now at least, I don't plan any such activities.
No, I do not paint portraits of real people. I am not a portrait painter in the classical term. I would rather have freedom when painting figures and faces, without the need to strive for resemblances. This gives me the opportunity to convey the emotions I want.
